About Us

The mission of the Child Advocacy Center of Sedgwick County (CACSC) is to promote the safety, health and emotional well-being of abused children and their caregivers by bringing together public, private and community partners. 

Children deserve the opportunity to grow into healthy productive adults. When a child presents for services, the desired outcome is for the abuse to stop and healing to begin, breaking the cycle of violence and exploitation, and ultimately creating systemic change in the community and beyond.

The need for CACSC services has grown tremendously. As families have been isolated at home, facing recent economic uncertainty and increased stress, children are at greater risk of abuse and neglect. For many children, social isolation leaves them alone with their abuser and with little to no contact with teachers, medical professionals, and others who might suspect and report abuse.

Proceeds from the Heroes Gala go towards general operating expenses for essential therapy services to children who have experienced abuse. Gifts to the CACSC are tax deductible.
