This past year, the Child Advocacy Center of Sedgwick County served more than 3,000 victims of child abuse.  One of the key services we offer is therapy for victims and families.  All services are offered at no cost.  Therapy is essential to help children work through the emotional trauma from abuse and begin the healing process.

Our annual Heroes Gala fundraiser helps us maintain our therapy services and increases the likelihood that children will see a brighter future.

Our keynote speaker is Candace Sanchez, author, life coach, motivational speaker, and podcast host.  With a profound focus on helping youth, Candace draws from her own troubled past to inspire others to find happiness and make a difference with
their lives.  She firmly believes that one’s past does not define their future, and
encourages individuals to embrace their voice as a powerful tool for change.  Her book, Unspoken, offers her compelling testimony of transformation and resilience. 
We look forward to another engaging night celebrating heroes and restoring hope.
Michael Schwanke, KWCH-TV’s Investigative Reporter and News Anchor at Five,
Six, Six-Thirty and Ten, will host this inspirational event.  Recognition of local heroes and a silent auction will enhance this encouraging and entertaining evening.
