Candace Sanchez, with a Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Information Technology and a Master’s Degree of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix, is a dynamic individual who excels in multiple roles. As the Director of Information Technology, Strategic Partnerships at Advocate Health, she showcases her expertise and leadership skills in the healthcare IT field.
Candace is deeply involved in her community and serves as a servant leader. She is a proud board member of the non-profit organization Por La Gente (PLG) Association in Racine, WI, where she has held various positions, including Secretary, Treasurer, President, and currently Vice President. Candace actively contributes to the organization’s mission of providing scholarships to local Latino youth. Additionally, she played a pivotal role in establishing the Milwaukee Chapter for the University of Phoenix Alumni Association and served as the Vice President of Operations. Candace’s commitment to services extends to her involvement with Gamma Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, where she volunteers at events such as “Make A Difference Day” and “Hunger Cleanup,” as well as supporting the local food bank and participating in the Milwaukee AIDS Walk.
As a survivor herself, Candace views giving back as an integral part of her healing journey. She has been a dedicated member of the Aurora Healing & Advocacy Services Giving Circle since 2018. She also serves on the boards of BeLEAF Survivors, Inc., an organization that promotes hope and healing after sexual assault, and the National Foundation to End Child Abuse and Neglect, which raises awareness about the long-term impacts of abuse.
Candace is an accomplished author, life coach, motivational speaker, and podcast host. Her book, “Unspoken (because she wasn’t supposed to tell),” is available on Amazon, offering a powerful testament to her personal story of transformation and resilience. She hosts the podcast “Unspoken: Conversations with Candace,” where she fearlessly addresses taboo topics and provides a safe place for individuals who have experienced trauma to be heard.
With a profound focus on helping youth, Candace draws from her own troubled past to inspire others to find happiness and make a difference in their lives. She firmly believes that one’s past does not define their future and encourages individuals to embrace their voice as a powerful tool for change.
In addition to her professional and community involvement, Candace is a proud mother to two daughters, Adriana and Victoria, and grandmother to five. Her dedication and impact were recognized at the Hope Shining Blue event, where she received the prestigious Thrive Award for her healing journey, community work and efforts to raise awareness of sexual assault issues.
